Terms and conditions
These terms govern the design and coordination of the services entrusted to PRAESTANTIA, from the first approach to the closing of the file.

Purpose and scope
These terms apply to any private coordination engagement entrusted to PRAESTANTIA, whether it concerns a single area of intervention or brings several areas of expertise together within one engagement.
PRAESTANTIA acts as coordinator: it selects, arranges and adjusts services performed either by itself or by qualified contractors, in accordance with the brief agreed with the client.
Qualifying the request
Every engagement begins with the submission of a brief through the enquiry process. That submission constitutes neither an order nor a commitment on the part of either party.
A coordinator assesses the feasibility of the request and makes contact within the period indicated at submission. That period depends on the level of operational priority selected.
Proposal and commitment
The financial proposal is drawn up once availability has been verified. It may be presented as a single figure or broken down by area of expertise, and it distinguishes the coordination fee from the components of the engagement.
The client's agreement is given by electronic signature from the client portal. That signature is time-stamped and sealed to the hash of the signed document. It constitutes a commitment and authorises PRAESTANTIA to make firm bookings.
The proposal is valid until the expiry date and time shown on it, set when it is sent according to the validity period it provides for—seventy-two hours by default. That expiry does not change afterwards. Once it has passed, the proposal can no longer be approved: availability and terms are reviewed.
Price and payment
Prices are expressed in euros. On signing the proposal, the client pays either a deposit of 30% of the price or the full amount. The balance is charged to the card used for the deposit forty-eight hours before the service begins; the client may instead choose to pay it in cash on the day of the service, within the limits set by articles L112-6 and D112-3 of the French Monetary and Financial Code: one thousand euros where the client is domiciled in France for tax purposes or is acting for the purposes of a business activity, fifteen thousand euros where the client is a private individual domiciled abroad. In the latter case, the client declares their situation when choosing the method of payment and shows proof of identity and of address to the coordinator on the day of the service; failing which, the balance is charged to their card. Where the service begins less than forty-eight hours after signature, or its start date has not been set, the choice between the deposit and payment in full remains; the balance is then not charged automatically: it is called in from the client, who settles it from their private space before the service begins.
Each proposal may set out different terms of payment: the percentage of the deposit, including no deposit at all or payment in full on approval, and the due date and method of payment of the balance—automatic charge to the saved card, payment by the client from their client portal, payment on the day of the service, or any other condition it specifies. The terms stated in the approved proposal then prevail over those in the preceding paragraph. For each of its components, the proposal also states the value added tax treatment that applies: the rate, a special scheme, or the applicable wording where no VAT is due.
If the client cancels up to twenty-four hours before the service begins, the deposit is refunded. [TO BE SUPPLIED — conditions applying to a balance already charged when cancelling between forty-eight and twenty-four hours before the service, and to any later cancellation]
Online payment is made by card from the private space, through the secure payment provider Stripe. Card details are entered with that provider and are neither passed to nor stored by PRAESTANTIA. Where the client opts for the deposit, the card is held by Stripe solely to charge the balance, which the client accepts by paying the deposit. If that charge does not go through, a payment link is sent to the client. Firm bookings are made on receipt of the deposit or of full payment.
Services performed by third parties may be subject to their own terms, which are brought to the client's attention where they have consequences for the engagement.
Performance and the itinerary
The itinerary is the operational document of record. Each stage appears there with its time, its place, its nature, the person responsible, its status and the associated instructions.
The client is informed of adjustments through the channel corresponding to their criticality. The same information is not sent through several channels at once.
Changes during the engagement
Any change to an essential term of a service already confirmed — its removal, the principal booking, the place or the meeting point — requires the client's formal agreement, given from the client portal.
Adjustments to timing, to the person responsible or to equipment are re-confirmed according to the thresholds and criteria set in the configuration. Minor corrections and the addition of secondary documents are applied without asking.
Every change is recorded in the file's history with its author, its timestamp, and the previous and new values.
Personal styling services booked online
Scope. This article applies to the services on the Wardrobe & styling page whose price is displayed and which are booked and paid for online, in Paris or remotely. Services shown as “from” or “by proposal”, and those performed in Île-de-France outside Paris or abroad, are subject to a prior proposal governed by the preceding articles. It supplements the other articles of these terms; where they conflict, it prevails for these services.
Order and payment. The client chooses the service, states the location and their availability, accepts these terms, then pays the full price including VAT, plus, where applicable, the €100 incl. VAT supplement for each appointment set on a Saturday. Payment is made by card, on the site, through the secure payment module of the provider Stripe; card details are neither passed to PRAESTANTIA nor stored by it. The contract is concluded on receipt of payment, confirmed to the client by email.
Appointment time. PRAESTANTIA does not use an automatic booking calendar. After payment, the coordinator offers the client a time that fits the availability given, within forty-eight working hours. If no suitable time can be offered, the client is refunded all sums paid, to the payment method used, within fourteen days.
Validity. A single service must take place within one month of booking; for an event scheduled later, validity is adjusted to the date of the event. The initial assessment of a PRIVATE package takes place within thirty days of payment; the package period runs from that assessment.
Remote services. A remote service is delivered by video call or by any other means agreed with the coordinator. The client provides a connection and equipment that allow the session to take place; an appointment missed for a reason of their own is treated as a cancellation by the client.
Right of withdrawal. A consumer client has fourteen days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw, without giving reasons (Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code), by sending an unambiguous statement to contact@praestantia-paris.com or by using the withdrawal form in the appendix. Sums paid are refunded within fourteen days of receipt of the decision, to the payment method used.
Early start. Where the client wishes the service to begin before that period ends, they request it expressly when booking. If they then withdraw, they pay an amount proportionate to what has been provided up to the time they communicate their decision (Article L221-25). They can no longer withdraw once the service has been fully performed before the period ends, following their express request and acknowledgement that the right is lost (Article L221-28, 1°). Without an express request, no appointment is set before the withdrawal period ends.
Cancellation and postponement by the client. Once the time is confirmed, the client may have the appointment postponed free of charge by asking at least forty-eight hours in advance; a cancellation notified within that same notice leads to a postponement. Once the withdrawal period has ended, a cancellation notified less than forty-eight hours before the appointment, or a missed appointment, makes the service payable and gives no right to a refund.
Personalised services. Assessments, selections, outfits, lookbooks and other deliverables are created for the client from the information they provide. They are delivered for personal use; PRAESTANTIA retains the intellectual property rights. One round of adjustments is included where the offer says so.
Purchases on the client’s behalf. Clothing, shoes, accessories and other items are not included in the price of the services. They are bought by the client, in their own name, from the sellers, whose terms of sale, exchange and return apply; PRAESTANTIA is not the seller and is not liable for their conformity or availability. Where, as part of delegated purchasing, PRAESTANTIA pays for a purchase on the client’s behalf, it does so on prior written instruction and within an advance agreed and approved before the purchase; any unused part of the advance is returned to the client, on presentation of the purchase receipts, within fourteen days of the end of the service. Returns and exchanges follow the seller’s terms. Delegated purchasing fees are separate from the price of the items.
Cancellation and postponement
The conditions for cancellation and postponement specific to each service, together with any charges retained by third-party contractors, are set out in the financial proposal submitted for the client's signature. The client therefore knows them before making any commitment.
In accordance with Article L.221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation, car hire, catering or leisure services to be provided on a specific date or within a specific period.
Confidentiality
PRAESTANTIA undertakes to keep confidential all information that comes to its knowledge in the course of the engagement. Those involved and the contractors receive only the information strictly necessary to perform their own part.
Access granted to a third party is limited in scope and in time, and expires automatically.
Liability
PRAESTANTIA is bound by an obligation of means (obligation de moyens) in selecting, coordinating and following up the services: it undertakes to use its best endeavours, not to guarantee a particular result. Services, options and activities are offered subject to availability, operational feasibility, and the conditions applying to each of them.
Neither party can be held liable for a failure to perform its obligations resulting from force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code. The party relying on it informs the other without delay.
Complaints and governing law
Any complaint is to be addressed to the coordinator assigned to the file, to contact@praestantia-paris.com, or by post to BHM EXPORT, 82 rue Manin, 75019 Paris, France. These terms are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, the client first contacts PRAESTANTIA to seek an amicable solution. A consumer client may then refer the matter, free of charge, to the consumer mediator: CM2C, 14 rue Saint-Jean, 75017 Paris, France — www.cm2c.net. Mediation is optional; failing an amicable solution, the dispute is brought before the competent French courts.
